South Burlington, Vt. – The Champlain Water District (CWD) Water Treatment Facility has a plant shutdown scheduled for Wednesday, Sep 13 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to a media release, a shutdown is to correct an electric switchgear. 

What does this meant for you?  The CWD is seeking that all business stop all non-essential H2O use, during a shutdown.  Officials contend non-essential H2O use is outward watering, soaking your car, laundry, and dishwashing. 

The influenced H2O systems are Shelburne, South Burlington, Milton, Williston, Essex Junction, Essex Town, Colchester FD#1, Colchester FD#3, Colchester Town, Village of Jericho, Winooski, and a Malletts Bay Water Company.
